AAUW is a community that breaks through educational and economic barriers so that all women have a fair chance. Your membership makes AAUW’s powerful voice even stronger on critical issues affecting women and girls.

Membership is open to anyone holding an associate or equivalent (RN), baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

Student Affiliation is open to anyone who does not already hold an undergraduate degree and is enrolled in a two-or four-year regionally accredited educational institution. https://my.aauw.org/collegeuniversitydirectory

To become a branch member, national and state membership is required. You can become a national member only. National membership alone can be done online at: https://www.aauw.org/membership/. First year dues for branch (and state) and national if you choose are paid by check. The dues breakdown as follows. After your dues are paid & processed you will be an official AAUW member!

PAYMENT INFORMATION:
Annual dues are $100 which includes: $13.00 Portsmouth Branch $15.00 AAUW of Virginia $72.00 AAUW National Note: $69.00 of the AAUW National dues is tax deductible by the individual member. The remaining $3.00 is not tax deductible because it supports the AAUW Action Funds activities, Section 501(c)(4), such as Lobby Corps and election related activities.
